Jack Jr., Inc. is a third-generation family-owned towing and auto repair facility. Our business was started by Jack T. Story, Sr. in 1952. Jack Sr. was a true “Jack” of all trades, specializing in everything from towing & auto repair, ice sales to bail bondsman. Jack Jr took over in 1977 adding heavy duty towing to the mix.

Jack Jr. was well known in the Western Tidewater area as “Mr. Jack or Peewee”. Jack Jr. retired after over 60 years passing the business on to his daughter Jackie. Jack Jr. passed away August 31, 2022, leaving a void in the hearts of many. Jackie has chosen to focus on auto repair and limit the towing side of the business.

The Story family is heavily involved in their community. Jack Jr. Towing & Auto Repair prides itself on contributing to the local fire and rescue squads, Virginia Special Olympics, local schools, churches and civic clubs.

Jackie has been the general manager at Jack Jr’s since 2003. She has been working at the company since 1992 and “grew up” in the business. Jackie is Vice President of the Downtown Franklin Association and has sat on the board of directors for several years. She enjoys volunteering in her community and spending time at the beach. She is a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.

Kayla began her career at Jack Jr's in May of 2016 as the front desk receptionist. Her knowledge of vehicles and wonderful customer service make her a huge asset to the company. In her spare time, Kayla enjoys photography and spending time with family, friends and her ferrets.

Chris came on board in December 2018. He has been a great asset to our team. He is a well-rounded technician and a Virginia State Inspector. His specialty is mechanical repairs and drivability issues. He enjoys spending time with his daughter, family and friends.

Adam joined the Jack Jr.’s team in 2019. Adam is a great team member and is popular with our customers. He was recently named “Best Mechanic” in our local newspaper. His specialty is vehicle maintenance and brake service. Adam is on the board of the Franklin Southampton County Fair and spends many hours volunteering in his community. Adam is a member of Rock Church of Franklin. He enjoys hunting, riding his four-wheeler and spending time with his family.

Matt rejoined Jack Jr’s staff in July of 2022. He is our alignment technician and front -end specialist. He also excels in rear end/differential rebuilding and repair. Matt is factory trained. He enjoys riding his Harley, traveling the country and spending time with his kids and granddaughter.
